Infant
Each child has unique eating and sleeping patterns. Our infant program places your baby’s needs first. Your baby will spend their day exploring toys, growing, and bonding with caregivers. Our infant teachers pay close attention to your baby’s individual care, watch closely for each new developmental milestone, and gently nurture new skills, and self-confidence.
Freshman
Around age one, your child has begun walking and exploring, but still needs lots of care and attention. Each day, your little one will spend time listening to stories, singing songs, and playing with friends. The Freshman class teachers value each child’s individual personality, and help build early listening skills.
Sophomore
By age two, your child is beginning to develop a sense of self, confidently moving, and enthusiastically exploring their world. The Sophomore room teachers use this time to teach early social skills, encourage sharing and turn-taking, and promote language and toilet-training skills.
Pre-Junior
Once your child has begun to master toileting skills, and displays more self-confidence and maturity, the Pre-Junior class sets the stage for their next step into learning. The Pre-Junior teachers foster an environment of creative, active play, promote self-confidence, and develop attention and listening skills.
Junior
At age three, your child expresses individual preference, and profound, natural curiosity. The engaging activities and toys in the Junior classroom pique your child’s interest and stimulate learning through play. Our Junior class teachers plan daily games, story-time, crafts, and learning experiences aimed at catching your child’s imagination and sense of exploration.
Senior (Pre-Kindergarten)
The Pre-Kindergarten year concludes the foundational learning years before primary school. By Pre-K age your child has established the building blocks for early reading, math, and problem-solving abilities, and is mastering the social skills essential for kindergarten-readiness. The Senior classroom offers a variety of fascinating materials, activities, and learning experiences. The Senior teachers are directly engaged in your child’s learning throughout their day. These teachers love motivating, guiding, and expanding curiosity by encouraging participation and determination.
Dosis Club (School-Age Program)
At the end of a long day, your school-ager is ready to relax, snack, play and take a look at the evening’s homework assignments. Both Breckenridge Elementary and Maxwell Elementary provide transportation to our facility. We also provide transportation from Athens-Chilesburg, Liberty, Garrett Morgan, and Brenda Cowan Elementary Schools. Upon arrival, your child will have some playtime before an afternoon snack, and group games. Weather permitting, a large portion of their afternoon is spent outside. Dosis is the ancient Greek word for the act of giving. We cherish the children under our care as gifts from God, and instill in them the joy of giving and serving.
